On my first test in the U.S., I did not get an A, and I felt disappointed. I did not want to just accept the grade, so I decided to talk to my teacher.
I asked my teacher what I could do to improve and whether I could retake the test. I was a little nervous because I was not used to talking to teachers like this, but my teacher explained what I needed to review and gave me another chance.
Before the retake, I studied my mistakes and reviewed the important topics again. This experience taught me that if I have a problem, I should communicate with my teacher instead of staying quiet. It also helped me become more confident at school.
